Prospective Students

During fall 2019, the School of Forestry & Environmental Studies will be accepting inquiries for matriculation in fall 2020 for the MESc/ MFS program and the Ph.D. program. This year (fall 2019), the Bradford lab group is not supporting primary advisor requests for MESc/ MFS students matriculating in August 2020, and are not encouraging further PhD applications given the limited number of spots. Please check back late summer/ early fall 2020 for updated information on applying to the program.

When we are accepting further expressions of interest, please contact Mark directly at mark.bradford at yale.edu.

More generally, if you’re interested in doing graduate research at the School, with our group or another group you should :

  • Arrange a meeting/conversation with the prospective advisor to discuss your interests.
  • Come visit FES, Yale, and New Haven to see if it’s a good fit.
  • Apply to the Master’s program (MESc/ MFS) or Doctoral program (deadlines are usually around Jan 2nd).
